Fees & Rebates

The standard hourly rate is $260 for private and MHTP sessions, Report Writing, and Clinical Supervision.

Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP)

If you have access to Medicare, you may be eligible for 10 sessions per year (January to December) with a Medicare rebate. The rebate for a 50min session with a Clinical Psychologist is $141.85. Prior to your initial consultation, you will need to schedule an appointment with your GP to request a GP referral letter, as well as a MHTP, addressed to Amelie Nguyen at New Earth Psychology.

The full session fee of $260 is charged for your appointment. We will then process your Medicare rebate for you ($141.85) which you should receive back into your account with Medicare within 1-2 business days. The total gap/out of pocket fee is $118.15 per session.

Private fee

The full session fee may be out of pocket, or claimed personally through your private health fund. It is important to check whether your policy covers psychology. We can provide you with a receipt after each session to support your claim.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Amelie provides psychology services to NDIS participants with approved funding for psychology. Services include formal mental health assessments, diagnoses, report writing, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and working closely with other professionals and providers involved in your care.

The session fee is based on the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price-Limits 2024-2025.

State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA)

Amelie is a SIRA-Accredited Psychologist offering effective mental health services to clients with an open Work Cover or Workers Compensation claim. Amelie provides comprehensive assessments, reports and updates on your capacity for work, facilitation of your allied health treatment requests, regular sessions tailored to your therapeutic needs and goals, as well as a complete return-to-work plan.

The session fee is based on the SIRA Psychology and Counselling Services and Maximum Fees 2024.

Motor vehicle accident (MVA) insurance claim

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident and are experiencing ongoing pain, depression, anxiety, trauma, sleep disturbance, physical and/or mental anguish as a result, our specialised mental health services provide compassionate support to help you effectively process the incident, manage symptoms, and rebuild a renewed sense of peace and resilience.
With a GP referral and MHTP (detailed above), you may be eligible for sessions with a Medicare rebate. The standard session fee applies.
Alternatively, sessions may be completed privately and claimed through your organisation’s insurer. Contact us to discuss your options.

Work Development Order (WDO)

Amelie is an approved WDO sponsor and provides therapy that counts toward reducing your debts with Revenue NSW on mental health grounds.
This means that psychological assessment and treatment are provided to help you achieve your mental health goals. At the same time, you can have up to $1000 off overdue fines each month based on your hours of attendance. Amelie will report to Revenue NSW on your compliance at no extra cost.
To be eligible, you will need to engage in regular therapy sessions, either privately or under a MHTP and GP Referral. With Medicare, you can access up to 10 sessions per year with a rebate/refund of $141.85. A gap fee of $118.15 applies to all sessions.
